While the essence of our privacy policy remains completely unchanged, we have updated it to be more explicit in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

All personal data concerning our clients is treated as Strictly Confidential and is handled with the highest level of security.

📂 What Information Does Kitty Kare Hold?

We collect and maintain the personal information you explicitly provide to us across our communication channels:

  • Website Enquiries & Testimonials: Any data you submit via the booking enquiry or testimonial buttons at www.kittykare.co.uk is automatically routed to enquiries@kittykare.co.uk. Our email software is securely password-protected.

    ⚠️ Please Note: The Kitty Kare website itself does not store or hold any of your personal information.

  • Social Media Platforms: Any data, inquiries, or messages submitted via the Kitty Kare Facebook Page or Instagram profile. These accounts are password-protected and strictly administered by Kitty Kare management.
  • Mobile & SMS Text Messaging: Any information sent via cellular texts or data messaging apps to any telephone number operated by Kitty Kare.
  • Physical Client Records: Your completed Service Agreement & Client Information document is retained in hard copy inside a secure, locked filing cabinet within a locked office.
  • Management Database: Your basic contact details (name, address, telephone numbers, and email) are stored in a private, secure electronic database accessible exclusively by Kitty Kare management.

🎯 Why Do We Hold Your Data?

We only use your contact information and contract data for practical service delivery:

  1. To confirm, schedule, and manage your current and future pet sitting bookings.
  2. To send you regular updates (and photos!) of your pets while you are away via your preferred channel (Email, Facebook, WhatsApp, or SMS).

🛡️ Third-Party Data Transfer

Your personal information will never be shared, sold, rented, or forwarded to any third-party organizations. We do not pass client details to outside persons or entities under any circumstances unless explicitly required to do so by law.

⏳ Data Retention & The "Right to Be Forgotten"

We respect your control over your personal information and fully honor the right to be forgotten:

  • Account Closure: Should you no longer wish to use our services, simply let us know, and all digital database records and hard copies associated with you will be permanently destroyed.
  • Inactive Accounts: To keep our records clean and secure, any client information sheet or contract that has not been actively used in the past 24 months will be securely destroyed (via shredding or burning).
